I am a huge Heather Horrocks fan. I have almost all her books. So, I’m sad to have to write a low review.

It was extremely upsetting that a major plot point is a little girl repeatedly getting threatened and kidnapped by a pedophile vampire who wants to molest and then drain the blood of children. It’s bad enough to have a child in serious danger from this kind of “real monster,” but to have it be a vampire who would then kill the child in this way was horrifying to read about. It’s no spoiler to say the child ends up okay, since all of Heather’s books have happy endings. But by the time the child was finally safe, I was too upset to care about the conclusion of the romantic story line. I couldn’t sleep that night, and I woke up upset the next morning. The Moonchuckle Bay series is usually a lighthearted look at monsters like vampires and werewolves. But this storyline took me out of that fantasy world and reminded me that the origin/myth of vampires was pure evil. I won’t be reading this book ever again, and for the first time, I doubt I’ll ever finish it. I’m warning future readers who would also find this too upsetting. Past characters make brief cameo appearances, but there is no further overall plot development you would miss if you skipped this one.

Cupid Misses the Mark Moonchuckle Bay Romantic Comedy #9 edition by Heather Horrocks Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

I love these sweet romances that you can finish in an afternoon. They are very enjoyable and such a nice way to relax. Super clean without sacrificing the fun.

I highly recommend these series. The author does a great job of making each book fun.

One of my favorites are her chick flique series. I liked regally blonde and my spare lady. I also highly recommend how to stuff a wild zucchini. So fun!
I read the first Moonchuckle Bay story cause it was free on my Nook. Now I can't wait for each one! I would love to visit this town. Each character is engaging and each story is so enjoyable. More please!
I LOVE all the Moonchuckle Bay books and this one is no exception!! I Love re-visiting all the characters from there and meeting the new ones! A REAL cupid and with not such a good aim! A cowboy and a vampire!! I love it!! I Really wish there was a real place like this! I would love to visit! Keep these stories coming Heather Horrocks!! They are so great!!
Julia is looking for her lifemate. She just turned 100 and feels it is past due. Luke is bringing his daughter to family in Moonchuckle Bay because there is something wrong with her so he thinks. Humor, match making father, fun and cupids.
These books are so wonderfully light and fluffy. They're perfect for when my life gets really stressful and I just want to escape to a paranormal happily ever after. Bless Heather for creating Moonchuckle Bay! I couldn't be more relaxed if I'd just vacationed there. )
I have only one issue with this book. The hero has a background that is only lightly mentioned once. I think that it should have been explored in this book. Giving us this vague and quick partial answer didn’t give the readers any answers at all. Other than that, and I think it’s a pretty big thing, I liked this book.
Julia Murphey wants to find her alienate, correction, her vampire alienate. What she doesn't expect is to fall for a human and his precious daughter. Throw in a rogue vampire, a Cupid with bad eyesight who keeps trying to get Julia with his arrows, and a whole lot of magic, and you have a very entertaining story.
I really like the Cupid. He added a nice layer of humor to the story with his bungling aim, and his exclamations, "Fletch!"
